About Me
Learn more about my journey as a cloud architect and developer, my approach to technology with intention, and my passion for creating scalable, human-centered solutions built with purpose (always accompanied by coffee and a family of cats supervising).
Hi, I'm David Cuy, a naturally curious person who enjoys understanding how things work and how they can be improved.
Technology for me is not just work; it's a playground where ideas become real. I like to build, share, learn, and teach;
and I deeply believe that the best solutions arise when we combine critical thinking, empathy, and a good cup of coffee.
My Philosophy
I believe software is like a set of Lego: each piece has its function on its own, but the real magic lies in how we connect them to solve something real. As a leader and architect, I like to approach solutions from a business perspective, not just a technical one. Listening, understanding the need, and then creating something that scales, is flexible, and makes sense for the user. Technology is a tool, but the intention behind it is what makes the difference.What Drives Me
I'm driven by challenges that don't come with immediate answers. Those problems that require creativity, experimentation, and a willingness to break the mold. I enjoy exploring new technologies, testing ideas, prototyping, and seeing how something small becomes a key piece. I'm not afraid of the unknown; in fact, that's where I learn the most and where solutions become interesting.Beyond Work
Although I'm in leadership roles, I've never stopped coding. I like to stay close to building, to how things are made, not just what is decided. At home, I share life with my wife and our two cats, who act as official keyboard and coffee supervisors. We are slow coffee lovers, the kind that you savor. One of our dreams is to have a specialty coffee shop someday.I'm also greatly inspired by Japanese culture: its calmness, the beauty of simplicity, and the idea that everything can be done with care and respect. I try to bring a bit of that into my work and life.
